Maarit Malkamaki is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in programme planning, monitoring, and evaluation, currently serving as a Programme Officer at CMI — Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation since March 2018, while on study leave to complete a master's degree in psychology. Prior roles include Project Officer focused on Sub-Saharan Africa, where responsibilities encompassed project planning and conflict analyses, and Programme Assistant aiding in results-based management across various regions. Malkamaki's earlier experiences include research and project management internships at Demos Helsinki, EULEX Kosovo, and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, complemented by customer service and coordination roles at Fonecta Oy and Yliopistovalmennus Oy. Malkamaki holds a master's degree in Peace, Mediation, and Conflict Research and has pursued academic studies in political science and international relations, along with a current focus on psychology.
