Mikaela Steffansson

Mikaela Steffansson is an experienced Programme Officer at CMI—Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation since January 2020, having previously served as a Project Officer for the Asia Team. Prior work experience includes roles as a Psychology Trainee at Helsingin seurakuntayhtymä and as the verksamhetsledare for Kyrkans Samtalstjänst. Mikaela began at CMI in 2016 as a Project Assistant, with additional internships focused on Sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to these positions, Mikaela worked as a Freelance Translator and Community Empowerment Programme Assistant, as well as a Research Assistant at Åbo Akademi University. Educational qualifications include a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Åbo Akademi University and the University of Helsinki, along with exchange studies at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
