Gabriel Fisher

Gabriel "Gabe" Fisher is an experienced crisis counselor currently supporting individuals facing mental health crises at Crisis Text Line, with over 200 hours dedicated to helping more than 300 texters since August 2021. Gabe has also contributed as a freelance high school sports reporter for The San Francisco Standard and served as an interim editorial assistant for J. The Jewish News of Northern California, where story pitching and editing were key responsibilities. Previous roles include sportswriter for Marin Independent Journal, member of WSJ Noted's Personal Finance Cohort, and various internships focused on journalism and research. Gabe holds a Bachelor's degree in Government and Psychology from Claremont McKenna College and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) at the University of San Francisco.
