Head of Analytics at Crisp

Erik Heidstra has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Their most recent role is as the Head of Analytics at Crisp, a position they have held since November 2020. Prior to this, they worked at NewMotion as the Team Lead Business Intelligence from September 2019 to November 2020, and as the Team Lead Market & Business Intelligence from February 2018 to September 2019. Erik also served as a Market & Business Intelligence Analyst at NewMotion from July 2017 to February 2018.

Before joining NewMotion, Erik worked as a Software Engineer at Leapfrog 3D Printers from May 2016 to June 2017. Erik started their career at Leapfrog 3D Printers as a Graduate Intern from October 2015 to March 2016. Additionally, Erik gained experience as a Strategy Consultant at Young Advisory Group from April 2015 to September 2015, where they conducted CSR mapping for a major Dutch public transport company and provided advanced data analysis training with Excel.

In the past, Erik has held various other positions including a Supercharger Intern at Tesla Motors from August 2014 to February 2015, and as the Owner of Jus d'esign, a company they founded in 2008. At Jus d'esign, Erik focused on software development and web design, particularly specialized ERP software for a franchise delivery company. Erik also served as the Chairman of the Board at Honours College Social Association from September 2013 to September 2014, where they worked on improving social cohesion among students through organizing social activities.

Furthermore, Erik has gained experience as a Teaching Assistant at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen in March and April 2012, and as a Developer at Power Systems Aruba in June and August 2008. With a diverse range of roles and experiences, Erik has developed a strong background in analytics, business intelligence, software engineering, and strategic consulting.

Erik Heidstra started their education in 2002 at Piter Jelles Aldlân, where they obtained their 6 VWO degree with a focus on Bèta subjects in 2009. Erik then continued their studies at the University of Groningen from 2010 to 2013, where they earned their BSc degree in Industrial Engineering & Management. Erik further pursued their education at the same university, completing their Master of Science (MS) degree in Industrial Engineering & Management from 2013 to 2016.
