Kiana Aran

Board Member & Co-Founder at CRISPR QC

Kiana Aran currently serves as Co-Director of the Center for Technologies for Healthy Aging at the UC San Diego Institute of Engineering in Medicine and holds the position of Associate Professor at both the UC San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering and the UC San Diego School of Medicine since September 2023. Additionally, Kiana Aran is an Innovation Advisor at Paragraf® and has been involved with CRISPR QC as a Co-Founder and Board Member since November 2021. Kiana Aran also founded Aran Nebula, a nonprofit organization, in October 2021. Previous roles include Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer at Cardea Bio Inc., Consultant for Drug Delivery and Medical Diagnostics at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Associate Professor of Bioengineering at Keck Graduate Institute. Kiana Aran holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Rutgers University and postdoctoral research experience in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.

CRISPR Analytics Platform expands the data and analytics available for CRISPR gene editing, enabling its partners to produce products more quickly. The platform is based on the CRISPR-Chip, a device that is uniquely able to measure CRISPR activity directly.
