Zachary Detwiler

Zachary Detwiler is an experienced scientist with a robust background in molecular biology and biotechnology. Since October 2017, Zachary has held multiple roles at CRISPR Therapeutics, progressing from Senior Research Associate to Principal Research Associate, and currently serving as a Scientist. Prior to this, Zachary was a Molecular Biologist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where a novel molecular assay for genotyping congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) mutations was developed and validated. Experience also includes roles at Merck, focusing on varicella vaccine process improvement, and an internship at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, contributing to the improvement of viral vector candidates for malaria vaccine development. Zachary holds a Master of Science degree in Biotechnology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology, both obtained from Penn State University.
