Liz Helfgott has worked in a variety of editorial roles since 1991. Liz began their career as a News Editor and Assistant Editor at Congressional Quarterly, Inc. in 1991. In 1995, they moved to Congressional Quarterly, Inc., The Bureau of National Affairs, where they worked as a Book Editor. Liz then worked as a Copy Editor for GQ in 1998. In 2000, they were a Managing Editor and Assistant Managing Editor for Brill's Content. In 2001, they were a Senior Editor for ARTnews. In 2002, they worked as an Editor and Writer for the New York Sun, Art & Auction, Committee to Protect Journalists, and U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. In 2003, they were a Managing Editor for Film Comment. Finally, they were an Editorial Director for The Criterion Collection from 2004 onwards.
Liz Helfgott earned a BA in Government and English from the University of Virginia, followed by an MA in Cinema Studies from New York University.
