Darryl Hui

Senior Developer at Critical Mass

Darryl Hui has a solid and varied work experience. Darryl is currently working as a Senior Developer at Critical Mass since November 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Texas Instruments as a Web Developer from April 2018 to September 2021.

Darryl had a significant role as a Full Stack Developer/UX Lead at ArcelorMittal Dofasco from March 2017 to April 2018. In this role, they designed, implemented, and maintained applications for the modernization roadmap using technologies such as Angular, Bootstrap, Java Spring, and Oracle SQL. Darryl provided design and standard suggestions for both the database tables and front-end implementations.

Before that, Darryl worked at Joicare Inc. as a Full Stack Developer/Systems Administrator E-Health Solutions from December 2015 to June 2016. Darryl provided management and technical support for an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software deployment, developed new features within the EMR software, and advised on new development/business strategies.

From August 2013 to December 2015, Darryl worked as a Software Developer at McMaster University. Darryl was responsible for developing and maintaining web applications for in-field e-health products under the department of Family Medicine. Darryl worked closely with project managers and quality assurance analysts to develop new products.

Darryl also has experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst Co-op at iDeaWORKS Mohawk College from January 2013 to August 2013. Here, they were responsible for developing and documenting automated test suites for a large-scale web application. Darryl also assisted software developers with quality assurance for software patch upgrades.

In addition to these roles, Darryl has worked in various other positions, including as a General Laborer at Allied Mechanical, AV Assistant at St. Jerome's University, and as a Software Engineer Co-op at Kaleidescape.

Darryl Hui began their education in 2008 at the University of Waterloo, where they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Computer Engineering. Darryl studied at the university until 2011 before moving on to Mohawk College. At Mohawk College, Darryl earned an Ontario College Diploma in Software Support, completing their studies in 2014.
