Joel Harding

Group Creative Director at Critical Mass

Joel Harding has a diverse work experience in the creative and design field. Joel is currently working at Critical Mass as a Creative Director, where they started in February 2022. Prior to this, they served as an Associate Creative Director at the same company from April 2021 to February 2022. Before joining Critical Mass, Joel worked as an Art Director from February 2016 to April 2021.

Additionally, Joel has experience in the startup industry. Joel co-founded TaDuler in 2013 and served as the Design Lead. Joel oversaw branding, creative, and UI/UX of the product and marketing from inception to launch. Joel was also a part of the creative team at WAX, an independent advertising agency. Joel worked as a Designer from November 2013 to March 2014.

Joel's earlier experiences include working as a Senior Designer at Foundry Communications Inc. from September 2012 to November 2013. Joel also worked as a Designer at Sajak & Farki from November 2010 to August 2012, where they designed various digital applications and occasionally worked on silkscreen projects. In addition, Joel had a short-term position as a Graphic Designer at Studio Claus Due from April 2010 to August 2010, where they worked on print and digital projects for clients in fashion, music, and the visual arts. Joel began their career as a Graphic Designer at Manasc Isaac in June 2008 and worked there until March 2010.

Joel Harding obtained their Bachelor of Design degree in Visual Communication Design from the University of Alberta, where they attended from 2003 to 2006. Prior to that, they pursued Fine Arts at the University of Calgary from 1998 to 2000. In addition to their formal education, Joel also obtained the certification of RGD (Registered Graphic Designer) from the Association of Registered Graphic Designers (RGD) in April 2018.
