Sam Maggs

Sam Maggs is a seasoned professional in the fields of writing and content strategy, currently serving as the Senior Manager of Brand & Content Strategy at Critical Role since September 2023. With a strong background in comics writing at Dark Horse Comics, Inc. and IDW Publishing, Sam has contributed to notable projects such as "Critical Role: Mighty Nein Origins" and various "Star Wars" and "Transformers" titles. Previous roles include Narrative Lead at Wizards of the Coast, Lead Writer for Midwinter Entertainment's "Scavengers," and writer for major video games like "Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake" and "Call of Duty: Vanguard." Sam holds a Master of Arts in Literatures of Modernity from Ryerson University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature, as well as Film Studies from Western University.
