Crocker Art Museum
Dr. Janine Bera is the chief medical officer for WellSpace Health, a nonprofit community health center system that provides comprehensive medical, dental, behavioral health, and supportive services to more than 100,000 people each year at 31 locations in Sacramento, Placer, and Amador counties. As CMO, Dr. Bera leads a vast clinical practice serving the communities’ most vulnerable residents, including adults and children who live in poverty, are experiencing homelessness, and/or are uninsured. She is a graduate of the UC Davis Medical School and its Internal Medicine Primary Care Residency program. Outside of her professional roles, Dr. Bera is a motivational speaker and active community leader. She is the incoming President of the American Heart Association, Sacramento, Past President of the Sacramento Tree Foundation and on the Board of Directors for the Planned Parenthood Mar Monte, Wide Open Walls, and a senior fellow in American Leadership Forum and a member of the Sacramento Links, Inc.
