Matt Isble

Matt Isble is an experienced exhibition designer and chief preparator currently at Crocker Art Museum since November 2008, where responsibilities include leading the design, installation, and maintenance of exhibitions with a focus on enhancing visitor experience. In addition, Matt founded Museum Trade in December 2014, creating an online platform for museum professionals to share insights and foster collaboration. With a history of freelance design and art installation since 1999, previous roles include preparator crew member at San Jose Museum of Art and chief preparator and registrar at San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art. Matt holds a Master’s degree in Museum Studies - Exhibit Development from John F. Kennedy University and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Psychology from San José State University.
