Carly Smith has a diverse work experience spanning various nonprofit organizations in New York City. Carly is currently serving as the Director of Fundraising Campaigns & Volunteer Engagement at the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation. Before joining the foundation, Carly worked as the Associate Director of Volunteer Committees at the Hospital for Special Surgery and as the Associate Director of Volunteers at Minds Matter NYC. Carly also held multiple positions at Junior Achievement of New York, including Senior Manager, Programs, Manager, Programs, and Data Associate. Carly started their career as an Americorps Member at Junior Achievement of New York.
Carly Smith pursued their higher education in a chronological manner. From 2008 to 2011, they attended Smith College, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a focus on Sociology. Afterward, Carly embarked on further studies and enrolled at the NYU Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, where they pursued an Executive Master of Public Administration degree. This program spanned from 2020 to 2023. Additionally, Carly obtained a certification named "Emerging Leaders in Nonprofit Management" from The Partnership for After School Education (PASE) in February 2018.
