Luciano Musumeci

Principal Naval Architect at Crondall Energy

Luciano Musumeci is an accomplished naval architect with extensive experience in naval architecture and structural engineering, specializing in consultancy for the offshore energy industry. Currently serving as Principal Naval Architect at Crondal Energy since July 2018, Luciano provides strategic advice and bespoke consultancy services, focusing on hull strength, fatigue, and stability. Prior experience includes roles at Lloyd's Register, where responsibilities encompassed design consultancy for maritime structures and project management, as well as a tenure as a visiting Ph.D. student at Hamburg University of Technology, researching welded joints in marine structures. Luciano holds a Ph.D. in Material Engineering applied to Marine Structures from the University of Messina, alongside a Master’s and Bachelor’s in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Genoa and the University of Messina, respectively.
