Alanna Fonseca has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries. Alanna began their career in 2010, serving on the Board of Directors for the Sexual Assault Center of Kingston. In 2011, they held various roles, including Co-Chair for the Queen's Commerce Corporate Challenge and Project Assistant at IMI International. Alanna then became a Teaching Assistant at Queen's University from 2011 to 2012.

In 2012, Alanna worked as a Brand Marketing Intern at Kraft Foods Group. Alanna continued their journey with the company, becoming an Associate Brand Manager and later a Brand Assistant from 2013 to 2016. Alanna then joined The Kraft Heinz Company, where they served as a Brand Manager and Marketing Manager, specializing in innovation, from 2016 to 2018.

Alanna further expanded their expertise in the cannabis industry, working for MedReleaf as a Strategy Manager in 2018. Alanna also joined Aurora Cannabis Inc., where they held the positions of Senior Manager and Director of Consumer Market Strategy from 2018 to 2019.

Currently, Alanna is at Cronos Group, taking on roles of increasing responsibility. Alanna started as Director of Innovation in December 2019 and then became Senior Director of Innovation from April 2021 to January 2022.
