Michael Quillen serves as the Vice President, Academic Programs and Chief Academic Officer at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College since June 2015, overseeing curriculum development and implementation for a community college that serves over 22,000 students annually. Michael is also an active board member for several organizations, including the Association of Chief Academic Officers, the North Carolina Board of Science, Technology, & Innovation, and the Rowan County Crosby Scholars Community Partnership, contributing to discussions relevant to post-secondary education and community support initiatives. Michael Quillen held previous leadership positions at KCTCS from 2010 to 2015, including Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs, and has a diverse academic background, having served as Division Chair and Professor at Maysville Community & Technical College from 1993 to 2009. Michael Quillen earned a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Policy Studies and Evaluation from the University of Kentucky, alongside a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Biology from Morehead State University.
