Mike Lyssy

Mike Lyssy has extensive work experience in the architecture industry. Mike is currently the Director of Operations for the Commercial Studio at Cross Architects since February 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Perkins and Will as a Senior Project Manager from June 2015 to January 2021. Before that, they served as an Associate Principal at Jennings Hackler & Partners, Inc. from January 2013 to June 2015 and as a Project Manager at Jennings Hackler & Partners from May 2003 to January 2013. Mike also gained experience as a Graduate Assistant at Texas A&M University - CRS Center from August 2000 to May 2003 and as an Intern at Gresham, Smith and Partners from May 1999 to December 1999.

Mike Lyssy has a strong educational background in architecture and psychology. Mike completed their Bachelor of Environmental Design degree from Texas A&M University, where they studied mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, and architecture from 1995 to 2000. Following this, they pursued further studies in architecture and historic preservation, earning their Master of Architecture degree from Texas A&M University from 2001 to 2003. Currently, Mike Lyssy is a Ph.D. student in psychology at The University of Texas at Arlington.

In addition to their academic achievements, Mike also holds several certifications. Mike is a LEED AP BD+C certified by the U.S. Green Building Council, indicating their expertise in sustainable building design and construction. Mike is also a Registered Architect certified by the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners, and they have obtained the NCARB Certification from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.
