Michael Heekin

Michael Heekin has a strong background in finance and has held various leadership positions throughout their career. Michael started as a Senior Auditor at the National Audit Office in 1988 and went on to become a Senior Financial Supervision Officer at the Housing Corporation in 1995. In 1997, they joined Communities Scotland as a Regional Finance Manager before moving to the Glasgow Housing Association in 2003, where they served as the Head of Finance until 2007. Michael then joined Wellingborough Homes as the Director of Finance & Performance, where they worked until 2015. Currently, they are the Executive Director of Finance at Cross Keys Homes, a position they have held since 2015.

Michael Heekin obtained their MA (Hons) degree in Politics from the University of Glasgow, where they studied from 1984 to 1988. Michael then pursued further education and completed their MBA from the University of Glasgow between 1999 and 2001.
