Samir Mohanty

Samir Mohanty is the Chief Data Officer at Cross River. Samir was previously with Oracle as an Enterprise Mission Modernization & Business Value Architect and is responsible for helping federal, state, local, and education clients with their data-driven roadmap, which includes migration of workload to cloud and enabling AI, NLP/NLG, and ML, to improve operational efficiency, enable innovation, increase revenue, and meet regulatory requirements.

Prior to joining Oracle, Samir served as Board Member and CTO of Trippal UAE where they developed the technical strategy to ensure alignment with business goals, built quality assurance and data protection processes, monitored KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance, and communicated technology strategy to partners and investors.

Before their time with Trippal UAE, Samir served as Senior Vice President - Innovation, Analytics & Strategy at Moody's Corporation from June 2018 to May 2020. In this role they were responsible for the development and execution of Moody's innovation agenda across all business lines and geographies as well as the management of the company's strategic planning process.

From May 2016 to June 2019, Samir served as Senior Vice President - Enterprise Information Management at Moody's Corporation. In this role they were responsible for leading a team of over 500 professionals in the US, Europe, Asia Pacific, and South America who delivered information management solutions that supported Moody's business objectives.

Samir Mohanty completed a Master's degree in Business Analytics from New York University - Leonard N. Stern School of Business. Samir also has a Global Business Leadership degree from Harvard Business School. Samir's undergraduate degree is in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi. Samir also has several certifications, including ones from Oracle in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure 2020 Architect Professional and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure 2020 Architect Associate, and one from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
