Brendan Whalen

Brendan Whalen is an experienced scientist currently serving as an Associate Scientist in Antibody Discovery, Protein Engineering, and Process Development at Crossbow Therapeutics, Inc. since June 2024. Previously, Brendan held multiple roles at Xilio Therapeutics, Inc., progressing from Senior Research Associate to Associate Scientist in Protein Sciences between May 2022 and June 2024. Prior experiences include roles as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology from August 2020 to May 2022, and a Research Associate in the Protein Production Group at Jounce Therapeutics, Inc. where a significant protocol was developed for transient protein expression, achieving a 200% increase in titer. Brendan’s career began with internships and co-op positions across various organizations, including Sunovion Pharmaceuticals and Boston Institute of Biotechnology, and is supported by a Master of Science in Chemistry and Biochemistry from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with a Minor in Biochemical Engineering from Northeastern University.
