Sebastian Thrun is a computer scientist and entrepreneur who is best known for their work at Google, where they founded the Google[x] division and oversaw development of projects like the self-driving car, Google Glass, and the Loon project. Prior to Google, Thrun was a professor at Stanford University, where they developed the Stanley self-driving car which won the 2005 DARPA Grand Challenge. Sebastian also co-founded the Kitty Hawk Corporation, a flying car company.
Sebastian Thrun received their Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science and Statistics from the University of Bonn in Germany.
