Tom Chi

Tom is the Managing Partner of At One Ventures, which is focused on helping humanity become a net positive to nature via investments in world-class ventures that seek to reboot the industrial economy. For 3 years, he worked as part of the Crosslink team to diligence deep-tech investments in hardware, software, and the physical sciences. He continues to support Crosslink on deals whose success hinge on radical technical breakthroughs.

Tom was one of the founding members of Google X, where he worked on self-driving cars, Google Glass, Project Loon, and other revolutionary tech, and helped to scale that team from 8 to 250. His formal training is in physics and electrical engineering and has worked in both scientific and engineering research on autonomous robotics, massively parallel compute architectures, medical imaging, astrophysical equipment design, nanosecond-level control systems, and is a named inventor on 75 patents. He also worked in commercial production environments at Microsoft, Yahoo and Google, and held senior leadership positions managing large P+Ls that drove significant innovation efforts at these organizations.

Tom is based in SF and part of the year in Hawaii.
