Erik Philipp

Erik Philipp has a long and varied work experience. Erik began their career in 2002 as an Engineering Intern at The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company, where they performed cost estimation and design reviews for a $10 Million upgrade project. In 2003, they were a Construction Management Intern at William V. Walsh Construction Company. In 2004, they joined the United States Air Force and served in various roles, including Director of Operations (Captain), Environmental Engineering Chief (First Lieutenant), and Civil Engineer (Second Lieutenant). Erik was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and Air Force Commendation Medal for their service. In 2011, they co-founded Upside Charging, an electric vehicle charging infrastructure and leasing company. From 2012-2014, they worked at Bain & Company as a Summer Associate and Case Team Leader. From 2015-2020, they held roles at National Veterinary Associates as General Manager / Senior Director - Category Management and Director of Business Operations. Most recently, they were Chief Operating Officer at CrossnoKaye, where they developed controls and fully-automated energy management strategies.

Erik Philipp completed their education with a MBA from The Wharton School, where they studied Management, Finance, Business Economics and Public Policy. Before that, they obtained an M.S.E in Environmental Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University, as well as a BS in Civil Engineering from the same institution. Erik also graduated from Eastchester High School. Additionally, Erik Philipp holds a Former Secret Security Clearance and is a Professional Engineer.
