Adam B. Smith

Adam B. Smith, D.O. has a diverse work experience spanning different companies and roles. Adam B. currently holds the position of Medical Director for Apple Wellness Center Austin + Sacramento and Medical Director at Crossover Health since 2018. Prior to that, they established their own healthcare coaching and consultancy practice in 2013, applying coaching psychology principles to their clinical work. From 2015 to 2022, they served as an Advisor for Physician Culture and Development at Karisha Community and Integrative Health, focusing on creating a physician culture rooted in self-care and self-compassion. Adam B. also worked as a Physician at US Acute Care Solutions from 2017 to 2019 and as an Area Medical Director at MedSpring Urgent Care from 2014 to 2016. Their earlier experience includes roles at Yale HEALTH, where they served as a Physician Champion of Wellness Programming and later as a Hospitalist and Medical Director of Inpatient Care, and at Yale University School of Medicine as a Clinical Instructor. Prior to entering the medical field, they worked as a Creative Director at Ultra Design and as a Graphic Designer at VSA Partners.

Adam B. Smith, D.O. began their education at North Carolina State University from 1988 to 1993, where they earned a Bachelor of Environmental Design (BED) with a field of study in Graphic Design. Adam B. then attended West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine from 2000 to 2004, obtaining a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree in Medicine. Following this, from 2004 to 2007, Smith completed their Internal Medicine Residency Program at Yale University School of Medicine, specializing in Primary Care Internal Medicine. Adam B. has also obtained additional certifications in Internal Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine in December 2017 and in Health & Wellness Coaching from Wellcoaches in December 2014.
