J. Taylor Crandall is Chairman Emeritus and a founding member of Oak Hill Capital, which he co-led until his retirement from an active investing role at Oak Hill Capital in 2019. Prior to joining Oak Hill Capital in 1986, Crandall was a Vice President with the First National Bank of Boston, where he managed the leveraged buyout group and the bank’s Dallas energy office. Crandall earned a B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from Bowdoin College, where he has served on the Board of Overseers. Crandall also received an honorary doctorate in humane letters from Bowdoin College in 2010. Crandall is a board member of the US Ski Team, Stanford Children’s Hospital, Hilltop Holdings, Everspring Holdings, EPIC, Metronet, POWDR Corp., Pulsant, Easyknock and The Stanford Distinguished Career Institute. Crandall is also an Advisor to the CEO of Plenty Unlimited, Inc., as well as for Grace Science Foundation.
