Melba Moore

Melba R Moore, DBA, MS, CPHA, currently serves as the Executive Director at Crossroads Community Services Board since March 2022. Previously, Melba held the position of Health Director-Commissioner for the City of Cincinnati from August 2018 to February 2022, where responsibilities included overseeing the health department's strategic vision in collaboration with external partners. Melba's extensive experience includes serving as Acting Director and later Commissioner of Health for the City of St. Louis Department of Health from 2001 to 2018, managing operations and strategic planning for multiple departments. Further experience encompasses roles as Board Member for The Ethics Project, CEO of the National Stroke Prevention Awareness Coalition, and Director of Tobacco Use Prevention for the American Lung Association of Eastern Missouri. Melba holds a Doctorate in Business Administration with a focus on Healthcare Administration from Northcentral University and multiple advanced certifications from prestigious institutions, including Harvard University and Morehouse School of Medicine.
