Crossroads Continuum
Alyssa Whitney has a diverse range of work experience in the education field. Alyssa started their career as a Teacher Assistant at First Steps Children Center from September 2012 to September 2013. At this role, they observed the lead teacher, led art projects, and managed administrative tasks. Alyssa then worked as a Teacher at KinderCare from March 2014 to January 2017, where they collaborated with co-workers to instruct and care for children of various ages. Alyssa also supported the center's curriculum through leading activities in arts, music, drama, and movement. Alyssa later interned at The New England Center for Children for a few months in 2017. Currently, since May 2017, they are the Lead Special Education Teacher at Crossroads School.
Alyssa Whitney completed their Master of Education - MEd from Assumption University in 2017-2019, focusing on Special Education and Teaching. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Human Services and Rehabilitation Studies from Assumption University during 2013-2017.
Crossroads Continuum
Crossroads Continuum is an organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with autism and related disorders from birth through adulthood. The organization was originally established in 2002 as a school providing individualized, comprehensive education and related services to individuals with autism and other related disabilities. In addition to Crossroads Continuum School, we works with individuals and their families in their homes, communities, and other settings. All Crossroads Continuum's programs provide individualized, evidence-based services and supports.
