Dawn Behrend

Dawn Behrend serves as the Interim Dean of the Libraries and Instruction and Outreach Librarian at Lenoir-Rhyne University, where responsibilities include providing information literacy instruction, collection development, and outreach programs for students and faculty. Additionally, Dawn has experience as an Adjunct Professor in counseling at both a private university and Caldwell Community College. In the mental health field, Dawn has held various roles including Clinical Psychologist and Licensed Psychological Associate at Crossroads Counseling Center, managing outpatient services, psychological evaluations, and crisis intervention. Previous positions include owning a private practice, work as a Staff Psychologist in community mental health, and roles in support and case management within educational and correctional settings. Dawn holds multiple degrees including a Master’s in Library Science and an MBA, among others, reflecting extensive educational and professional development in library and mental health services.
