Kara Meyer

Kara Meyer has extensive experience in social support and educational roles, currently serving as a Behavioral Support Specialist at Crossroads Counseling Center since September 2014. Concurrently, Kara has worked at Eastern Mennonite University as a Barista and Community Advisor, where responsibilities included mentoring students, organizing activities, and managing disciplinary actions. Additional experience includes serving as a Community Educator at the DC Rape Crisis Center, focusing on sexual assault awareness, and directing a summer program for children at Kidron Mennonite Church. Kara's early career included roles as an Office Manager at the YMCA and an Assistant Preschool Teacher at Growing Together Preschool. Kara holds a Bachelor's degree in Applied Social Sciences from Eastern Mennonite University and an Associate's degree from Hesston College, highlighting a strong foundation in social sciences and community service.
