Jonah Phillips has been an entrepreneur since 2012. Jonah started their first business, The Lesson Builder, in 2012. Jonah built an online adaptive lesson plan template for K-12 teachers, managing all aspects of the business as a solo founder. In 2014, they founded two more businesses, My Word Search and Crossword Hobbyist. Both businesses were premium, subscription-based websites for creating word searches and crossword puzzles respectively. Jonah managed all aspects of both businesses as a solo founder, from working with teachers to assess customer needs to coding the website. In 2016, they founded My Worksheet Maker and served as its Founder and CEO.

Jonah Phillips attended the University of Chicago from 2004 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Public Policy.
