Wael Younan

Wael Younan, CISM, CDPSE, currently serves as the Executive Healthcare Strategist at CrowdStrike since April 2024. Previously, Younan held the position of Chief Information Officer at CalOptima from December 2021 to December 2023, where responsibilities included enhancing technology and security for the largest health insurer in Orange County. From October 2017 to November 2021, Younan worked as Chief Information Security Officer for LA County DHS, overseeing security for the second largest municipal health system in the U.S. Additional experience includes roles as Senior Information Security Advisor at Anthem, Inc., and Information Security Advisor at CareMore Health Plan, along with consultancy at Kaiser Permanente. Younan began a career in technology as a Field Service Engineer at Lucent Technologies and holds a B.S. in Telecommunications Management from DeVry University.
