James Mergel, MBA, is an accomplished sourcing and procurement professional with over fifteen years of experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation. Currently serving as the Assistant Director of AI & Technology Strategic Sourcing at Crowe, Mergel leads sourcing initiatives for technology and security applications. Previously, as Director of Enterprise Strategic Sourcing at Lowe’s, Mergel supervised significant technology spending while achieving notable cost reductions. Mergel has received multiple accolades, including back-to-back Top Contributor awards and has been a speaker at industry conferences on responsible sourcing and strategic sourcing best practices. Mergel holds a BS in Business Administration from St. Joseph's University and an MBA in Leadership and Management from Dowling College.
