Matthew Smerz has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Matthew started their career as a Residential Computer Consultant at Illinois State University from August 2009 to May 2010. Matthew then worked as a Technical Intern at Lincoln-Way High School District 210 from June 2008 to August 2010. After that, they joined Country Financial as an Application Developer Intern for a year, from January 2011 to December 2011.

In 2012, Matthew joined Caterpillar Logistics Services, Inc. as an IT Analyst II, working there until 2014. Following this, they joined Applied Systems as a Developer 2 from 2014 to 2016.

Matthew then joined Crowe in 2016 and held various roles during their tenure. Matthew started as a Support Analyst from October 2016 to August 2021, before being promoted to Senior Support Analyst from February 2019 to August 2021. Matthew then served as a Lead Product Support Specialist from August 2021 to November 2023. Finally, at Crowe, they took on the role of Product Support Operations Lead II from October 2020 and continues to work in that role.

Most recently, Matthew Smerz joined Kodiak Solutions in 2023, where they currently hold the position of Product Support Operations Lead II.

Matthew Smerz earned a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems from Illinois State University, which they attended from 2008 to 2011. Additionally, they have obtained certifications including Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft and ITIL Foundation Level from AXELOS Global Best Practice in 2021.
