Johann Blignaut

Johann Blignaut has worked primarily in the IT industry, with a focus on cyber & data protection and software quality assurance. From 2014 onwards, they have been the Head of Group IT Cyber & Data Protection at Crown Resorts. Prior to that, they were the Manager of Software Quality Assurance at the same company from 2013 to 2014. Before Crown Resorts, Johann worked at IGT, a subsidiary of International Game Technology PLC. Their roles at IGT included Product Manager - Systems from 2010 to 2013, Professional Services Manager from 2007 to 2010, and Casino Systems Manager from 2003 to 2007.

Johann Blignaut has a Diploma in Management with a specialization in Risk Management from RMIT University, which was completed in 2013. Prior to that, they obtained an Associate Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and Business Management from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika in 2002. In 1998, Johann obtained a Certificate in Project Management (PMBOK) from EDS South Africa. Their secondary education was completed at Pietersburg Secondary School from 1975 to 1979. Additionally, Johann has certifications in Certified In Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) from ISACA (obtained in 2019) and COBIT 5 Foundation from APMG International (obtained in 2016).
