Johnathan Hill

Software Engineer at Crows Nest Software

Johnathan grew up in a family of tradesmen and craftsmen. He joined Crows Nest Software in 2022 as a software developer; developing the mobile app using the Xamarin framework with C#. He graduated from the University of Washington in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Quantitative Science. There, he received a Mary Gates Research Scholarship to study the relationship between brain processes in autism and social anxiety--using state-of-the art FMRI neuroimaging software, bash scripting and statistical programming languages to preprocess and analyze 4D brain images. Johnathan also has co-authored a paper in digital demography with the current director of the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research, where he used bash and python scripts to preprocess large amounts of "digital trace" data from Twitter, Gowalla, and call-records in Senegal. Since then, Johnathan has been consulting working professionals at large companies, tutoring college students all over the United States, and teaching at NuCamp Coding Bootcamp.
