Customer Success - Managed Postgres at Crunchy Data

Bill Schuler has held a number of sales-related roles throughout their career. Bill began in 1990 as a Sales Manager for Zachary Software, Inc., where they drove a significant increase in sales revenue in less than two years. In 1996, they joined Extended Systems, Inc. as Worldwide Sales Director of Database Products, where they drove a 50% year-over-year sales increase and boosted VAR sales by 500%. This work helped lead to the company's IPO. In 2004, they were hired by MySQL, Inc. as their initial Director of Corporate Sales, tasked with turning 60,000 daily downloads into revenue. Bill then moved to Sun Microsystems in 2008 as Senior Sales Manager of the West Team, where they propelled a 60% year-over-year sales increase through diligent team coaching. In 2009, they became Executive Vice President of Sales at Percona, where they managed and trained a team of sales representatives. In 2015, they joined Citus Data as VP Sales, leading a cross-functional team to execute engagement opportunities and deliver customer-driven improvements. In 2017, they became Head of Worldwide Sales at 2ndQuadrant, where they supervised all strategic planning, sales functions, pricing development and processes to increase market share of 2ndQuadrant sales. In 2019, they joined GridGain Systems as Director of Inside Sales, coordinating the building of an open-source model in a consultancy role for a start-up. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Crunchy Data as Customer Success - Managed Postgres.

Bill Schuler attended Lincoln Land Community College from 1985 to 1987, where they received a degree in Computer Science.
