Calvin Wong

Calvin Wong has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Calvin is currently working at Crunchyroll as a Software Engineering Manager for their Subscription Services. Prior to that, they served as a Software Engineering Manager for Funimation Identity Services.

Before joining Crunchyroll, Calvin worked at The Walt Disney Company for several years. Calvin held positions such as Lead Software Engineer for DATG Pluto, where they developed and maintained API services for various streaming services. Calvin also worked on user profile management and data migration projects. Calvin was also the TWDC PRIDE Membership Co-lead, responsible for managing the LGBT+ employee resource group and supporting merchandise initiatives. Additionally, they served as a Lead Software Engineer for Matterhorn Graph and managed participants of the Code Rosie 2.0 program.

Prior to The Walt Disney Company, Calvin worked at Rovi as a Senior Software Engineer, developing web services and optimizing content metadata. Before that, they worked at Bento Box Interactive as a Software Engineer, focusing on backend services and mobile application development. Calvin also worked at Technicolor/MediaNavi as an Adobe Flash and Java Developer, and at NBC Universal as an Adobe Flash Developer, where they worked on various interactive media projects.

Calvin began their career at Disneyland Resort as a Guest Relations Cast Member. Overall, their experience includes managing software engineering teams, developing API services, optimizing performance, working with various programming languages and web technologies, and supporting diverse projects within the entertainment industry.

Calvin Wong's education history includes studying at California State Polytechnic University-Pomona from 2002 to 2007. Calvin obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science during this time. Additionally, in February 2011, they earned a certification as a Certified ScrumMaster from the Scrum Alliance.
