Maureen Mauk, Ph.D., is a Visiting Research Fellow at the Institute for Research on Digital Literacies at York University, and a Senior Standards & Practices Analyst at Crunchyroll. Previously, Maureen served as a researcher and writer on the Children, Media, and Parenting in the COVID-19 Pandemic project at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where the focus was on the interplay of industry, policy, and family culture in the context of media history and the digital landscape. Maureen has expertise in Children's Digital Media Regulation, Television & Streaming Standards and Practices, and Content Governance, among others. Maureen's experience includes teaching Digital Media Production and contemporary media analysis, co-founding All is Well Entertainment, and overseeing Standards & Practices at MATTEL, Inc. and Fox Broadcasting. Maureen holds a Ph.D. in Communication with a focus on Media & Cultural Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, along with a Master of Science in Television Production from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science in Communication from Cornell University.
