Willie Cooley's work experience includes positions in various companies and roles. Willie started working at Time Fighters Project as a 3D Artist in July 2009 and continued until March 2010. From October 2009 to March 2010, they also served as the Lead Artist for the Twisted Tales Project. In January 2010, they worked as a Character Artist Intern at Tall Chair until March 2010. Starting in June 2011, they worked as a 3D Artist Intern at Nomuda Games until September 2011. In September and October 2011, they worked as a UI Artist at Hive Media Inc. From January to July 2012, they held the position of Software Engineer Intern at Raindrop Games and later became a Technical Artist Intern from October 2012 to July 2013. From January 2012 to December 2017, they worked as a 3D Artist at ROBLOX Corporation. At Ohlone College, they worked as an Embedded Tutor in Computer Science from January 2016 to August 2017. Finally, at Crunchyroll, they worked as a Lead Technical Specialist in Customer Service from December 2017 to January 2020, and later became a Knowledge Engineer in Customer Service from February 2020.

Willie Cooley attended The Art Institutes from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Game Art & Design. They then attended Ohlone College from 2015 to 2017, although it is not specified if they obtained a degree in that period. In terms of additional certifications, Willie obtained a certification in Python for Data Science from the University of California San Diego in August 2019, and a certification in Deep Learning for Computer Vision from NVIDIA in March 2019.
