Andrew Ballard is a Mechanical Engineer at Cryomech since May 2022, with a solid background in quantum information science from Syracuse University, where Andrew served as a Quantum Computing Research Assistant from August 2016 to May 2022. Responsibilities included research and development of superconducting qubits, design and fabrication of Microwave/RF circuitry, and managing junior team members on sensitive equipment. Andrew has extensive experience in cryogenics, having worked with various cryogenic systems, and has automated lab processes using microcontroller-based systems. Additionally, Andrew has teaching experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, instructing students in physical concepts and providing individualized support. Andrew holds a Master's and a Bachelor's degree in Physics, with a focus on quantum computing, from Syracuse University.
