Sheila Warren has held various roles and positions throughout their work experience. In 2012, they served as the Vice President of Alliances and Program Development, as well as the General Counsel at TechSoup, a social enterprise focused on technology donations and grants. From 2017 to 2022, they held multiple positions at the World Economic Forum, including Deputy Global Head of the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Head of Data, Blockchain, and Digital Assets, and Founding Head of the Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology Platform. At the Crypto Research & Design Lab, they worked as a Co-Founder and Advisor from 2021 to 2023. Sheila also served as a Co-host for CoinDesk's Money Reimagined program starting in 2020. Additionally, they were a member of the Blockchain Expert Policy Advisory Board at the OECD from 2019 to 2022 and participated in the WDR 2021 Advisory Board at The World Bank in 2020. Other roles include being part of the Blockchain Working Group for the State of California from 2019 to 2020 and serving as a Global Fellow at the Salzburg Global Seminar starting in 2023. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Executive Officer at the Crypto Council for Innovation, starting in 2022. Throughout their career, they have focused on topics such as blockchain, cryptocurrency, digital assets, and the impact of new technologies on society.
Sheila Warren holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School, with bar admission in California and New York. Sheila also has an A.B. magna cum laude from Harvard University, specializing in Economics. Additionally, they have obtained a certification in GLI - Leading High Performing Teams from the London Business School in 2020.
