Akhilesh Singh

Akhilesh Singh is an experienced breeding lead specializing in pearl millet, currently working at Crystal Crop Protection Limited since December 2021. Previously, Akhilesh held the position of Lead Breeder at Bayer BioScience for over 12 years, where responsibilities included developing high-yielding, disease-resistant pearl millet hybrids. At ICRISAT, Akhilesh served as a Scientific Officer for six years, focusing on pearl millet hybrid parent development and collaborating with public and private organizations. Earlier roles included breeding positions at Advanta Seeds and a Senior Research Fellow position at A RS Durgapura Jaipur, contributing significantly to research and development in pearl millet and sorghum.
