Rick Hausman

Rick Hausman has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Rick is currently the Chief Financial Officer at Crystal Farms Dairy Company, a position they started in 2021. Prior to that, Rick worked at Flagstone Foods as the Vice President - Finance from December 2015 to August 2020. At Flagstone Foods, they played a key role in establishing analytical needs, FP&A processes, and leadership support as the company transitioned to a standalone entity.

Before Flagstone Foods, Rick held multiple roles at The SEED Partners. From October 2014 to May 2015, they served as the CFO / Finance VP, overseeing all aspects of finance for start-up ventures in the consumer product and bio-science space. Rick was also the VP Finance & Operations at Edia Business Venture during the same period, where they established financial and business processes for the launch of a consumer product start-up company.

Rick's experience also includes working as a Business Consultant / Advisor at AVL Growth Partners from 2012 to 2014. Rick provided financial consulting and served as a fractional CFO for small business clients across various industries.

Additionally, Rick has a significant tenure with Best Buy, starting as a Finance Manager in 2001 and holding various roles including Finance Director, Business Unit CFO, and Finance Director for different business units within the company. Rick also participated in the Advanced Leadership Program at Best Buy, evaluating new retail formats.

Before their time at Best Buy, Rick worked as a Finance Manager at The Pillsbury Company and as the Controller/General Manager at Minnesota Distributing & Manufacturing, where they oversaw financial accounting and control processes.

Throughout their career, Rick Hausman has demonstrated expertise in financial management, financial planning and analysis, business development, and establishing operational processes. Their experiences span across various industries, including consumer products, bio-science, retail, real estate, manufacturing, and distribution.

Rick Hausman received their Bachelor's degree in Finance/Business Management/Liberal Arts from the University of St. Thomas in 1988. Rick went on to pursue a Masters degree in Finance at the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management from 1995 to 1997.
