Alex Whitacre has extensive work experience in the operations and management field. Alex started their career as a Project Manager at George Koch Sons, LLC in 1994, where they managed high-dollar, capital equipment projects globally. After 20 years with the company, they joined Price-Koch Industries as an Operations Director in 2014. In 2016, they moved to Harsco Rail as a Plant Manager, responsible for the Ludington plant's operations and achieving annual revenue goals. Alex broke sales records for parts and services during their tenure. In 2020, they joined Crystal Steel Fabricators, Inc. as a Plant Manager and later became the Vice President of Operations in 2021.
Alex Whitacre received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from the University of Cincinnati from 1982 to 1987. Later, from 1994 to 1996, they completed a Master of Science in Management (MSM) from Oakland City University. In addition to their formal education, Alex obtained a certification as a Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute in November 2001.
