Heather Sherrer

Heather Sherrer, SHRM-CP has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Heather started their career as a Social Studies Teacher at Leona Group LLC, where they taught 7th, 8th, and 9th graders and was involved in extracurricular activities such as coaching junior high volleyball. Heather then moved on to Napoleon Area City Schools, where they continued to teach Social Studies and took on additional responsibilities as the Junior Class Adviser and prom planner.

In 2013, Heather transitioned to Target, where they became an Executive Team Leader of Salesfloor and Guest Experience. In this role, they managed a team of seven leaders and oversaw fifty team members, focusing on driving sales, ensuring guest satisfaction, and implementing company initiatives. Their strengths in leading and managing teams contributed to increased sales and high guest satisfaction scores.

In 2016, Heather joined Kennedy Care as a Central Recruiter/Human Resources professional, where they played a crucial role in providing personalized home care services. After a year, they moved on to CS Partners, first as a Human Resources Manager and later as a Human Resources Director. In these positions, they managed the complete HR function for nine charter schools and two Autism Centers, overseeing HR consultation, training, and holding the department accountable.

Throughout their career, Heather has demonstrated strong leadership skills, talent management abilities, and a focus on achieving results. Their experience in different industries and roles showcases their versatility and adaptability in various organizational settings.

Heather Sherrer, SHRM-CP, has a Master's Degree in Human Resources and Organizational Development from Eastern Michigan University. Heather completed their degree from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Integrated Social Studies from Defiance College, which they attended from 2007 to 2011. Heather's education history also includes attending Dexter High School from 2003 to 2007, although no degree or field of study is specified for this period. In addition to their academic achievements, Heather has obtained the SHRM-CP certification from SHRM Certification in May 2018, and they are also a Notary Public in Washtenaw County.
