Jimmy Fortier

Jimmy Fortier, ing., P.Eng., M.Eng. has an extensive background in civil and structural engineering, particularly in the field of bridge engineering. Currently a Board Member at The Canadian Association for Earthquake Engineering and Seismology since November 2023, Jimmy also serves as the Chair of the seismic design subcommittee for highway bridges at CSA Group, a position held since February 2020. Experience includes working as a Bridge Engineer at Parsons Corporation since February 2015 and previously at Dessau from May 2008 to January 2015, where Jimmy progressed from intern to junior engineer and ultimately to a full engineering role. Academic qualifications include a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering from McGill University and a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Université de Sherbrooke.
