Mari Walls serves as the Director at CSC - IT Center for Science since June 2023 and is actively involved in several key positions, including member of the Supervisory Board at the LSR Foundation for Economic Education and supervisory board member at the Suomen Kulttuurirahasto / Finnish Cultural Foundation. In addition, Mari holds advisory roles at the University of Helsinki Research Foundation and serves as an executive committee member of the European University Association. Educational qualifications encompass a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Cornell University, a PhD in Ecology, and an MSc in Biology from the University of Turku, along with an Adjunct Professorship in Ecology at the University of Helsinki.
