Chair at Canadian Securities Exchange

Steve Blake has been a driving force in the Canadian securities industry for over two decades. Steve currently serves as Chair of the Canadian Securities Exchange, one of the country's leading stock exchanges.

Blake began their career in 2000 as Chief Financial Officer of The Canadian Depository for Securities Limited (CDS), where they were instrumental in providing financial leadership and guidance to the company. Steve played a key role in the 2012-2013 merger of CDS with the TMX, and was responsible for developing and implementing various financial strategies and controls.

In 2012, Blake became Chief Operating Officer of the Child Development Institute, where they oversaw all aspects of the organization's operations. Steve helped the Institute achieve its goals by developing and implementing various business strategies.

Blake is a highly respected figure in the Canadian securities industry, and their experience and expertise are invaluable assets to the CSE.

Steve Blake is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and a Chartered Accountant (CA) in the field of accountancy. Steve has an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University in finance and accounting. Steve also has a certification from CPA Canada in CPA and CA.
