Ludwig Spies

Ludwig Spies has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Starting in 2014, they worked as an Assistant Electrician at CS Controls, gaining skills in basic installations and management. In 2017, they joined Vision Automation Pty Ltd as a PLC Technician, where they provided technical support and collaborated with clients. In 2019, Ludwig became a Systems Development and Sales Engineer at Bürkert, responsible for electrical design, project management, and sales. In 2021, they worked as a Mechatronic Systems Engineer at DIRECTECH GROUP, gaining knowledge in robotics and industrial automation. Ludwig then joined Eltra Engineering B.V. as a Software Engineer in 2021 and later moved to Blue Fielders in 2022 for the same role. Currently, Ludwig is a Lead Software Engineer at CSi palletising, taking charge of software engineering projects and guiding a team.

Ludwig Spies earned a Bachelor of Technology - BTech degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Johannesburg in 2018. Ludwig is currently pursuing a PGDIP in the same field at the University of the Witwatersrand, which started in 2020 and is still in progress. Prior to their degree, they also studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of Johannesburg from 2014 to 2017.
