Dr. Julien Lerat is a Senior Research Scientist at CSIRO Australia, where they develop modelling methods to enhance the prediction of extreme hydro-climate events such as floods and droughts. Previously, they served as a Senior Hydrologist at the Bureau of Meteorology from 2013 to 2021 and worked as a Research Engineer at IRSTEA from 2005 to 2009. Dr. Lerat holds a Master of Engineering from CentraleSupélec and completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Hydrology at Université Pierre et Marie Curie. They also earned a Master's degree in Engineering from Ecole Centrale Paris.
